The Lend to Listen Interview Series unites policymakers, academics and stakeholders from Kalinga Institute of Social Science and microfinance beneficiaries in Odisha. The interviews focused on highlighting critical need for micro-credit access and how it can drive the economy
The Lend to Lead Expert Sessions aims to equip youth participants from the Kalinga Institute’s Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program for Indigenous Forest Produce Gatherers with essential financial knowledge. Concepts like banking fundamentals, loan concepts, meaning of terms like collaterals and credits covered thoroughly in simple language for their understanding.
As a part of these sessions, we have gathered a survey on participants entrepreneurial goals and identified specific in-kind capital needs for their business ventures. The survey directly informed our subsequent steps and initiatives.
Our Lend to Leap Fundraiser mobilized community support through the Milaap Platform, raising funds specifically dedicated to our Credit-in-Kind initiative for indigenous entrepreneurs from the Kalinga Institute’s Skill development program.
Our project's highlight, representing the culmination of our efforts, is the Lend to Leap Credit in Kind Initiative. Using the funds raised through our crowdfunding campaign, we purchased and distributed essential small-scale capital inputs as interest free, in-kind loans, enabling program beneficiaries to to launch their entrepreneurial ventures
